Be sure to get there early and pack and extra bag. Yes, it's pricey, but you will leave with lasting memories. We had a group of kids ranging from 7-14 and they all enjoyed it very much. Let me first say that this is a place that kids will enjoy. Hope they are helpful for anyone looking to make the trip. I'll break down the review the best I can. Also saw a dead roach on the deck at the adult jacuzzi. They could have at least refunded me the first nights stay considering that they put that room we stayed in “Out of Commission” until they could address the issues reported. It’s obvious they are spending more money on television commercials than the lodge and employee development. We actually spent a whole day in nearby Jamestown and not at the lodge. Not much to do there so I guess just getting a day pass might be worth it if you have small children.
Clearly more concerned about quantity and not quality. I was also offered a discount for my next stay but I informed them that I would not be returning and suggested they pick up dinner for that night. I gave them notice via “Willow text” and was provided another room which was a suite for the second night. What I observed was a torn patio door curtain allowing light in all night, a disgusting stain on the couch cushion, the refrigerator did not cool, and the main bed mattress was sunken in and the room HVAC was so loud my wife thought it was storming outside. That is a stretch to call it a theme room with just a sign hanging over the bunk bed entrance. To begin with, most all of the employees gave me the impression I was bothering them when speaking with them. We were in a King Family Suite.Ģ nights and 2 Wolf passes cost me $2,151.00 to put what I write in to perspective. Since we are local, my overall review would be I may get a water park pass and go to water park for a day but would probably skip staying over. We’ve eaten at Pierces several times since we are pretty local to the area. Highly recommend Pierces BBQ which is within a mile and you can even order ahead and bring back to the resort which was nice having a toddler. Both were fine and what one would expect from “amusement park” food. We did eat at the buffet restaurant and the pizza place. In water park, easy to get chairs if you get there early. Bed was not very comfortable but, after being tired from the day, it was fine. It was nice that the sink was outside the bathroom area for times of getting ready. The shower was tiny and the bathroom looked dirty due to stains in the tub & dingy fixtures. Room was fine but not worth the price, in my opinion. Instead we were led to believe it would be ready early and received our room confirmation at 350 pm. We realize it takes time to clean rooms so if we checked in at 1, just say you can change and here’s the location of the changing areas but your room may not be ready for awhile. Would be nice if they were honest about room availability. We tried to check in early and the checkin process was easy & smooth. Enjoyed story time at night but skipped the dance party as we had a little one. Not a super chlorine smell which is nice. Water park is great and has a nice variety.
